Manaslu Circuit trek is one of the less crowded trekking destinations of Nepal. As per the opinions of trekking experts, it is considered among best trekking destination in Nepal. Mt. Manaslu is 8th highest peak in the world located at the elevation of 8163 m (26781 ft.). Slowly and gradually, in recent years Manaslu Trek has been famous among the trekkers because of its off-beaten path and remoteness. In the past before mid-90’s foreigners were not allowed to trek in this Manaslu region. But in 1992 government officially announced to allow foreign trekkers to trek in this region. Every trekkers has to get government authorized permit card as it is one of the restricted trekking areas of Nepal.

Manaslu Circuit trek offers everything that trekkers are looking from a particular destination. This wonderful adventure trek offers staggering views of Mt. Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Similarly, trail of this trek will lead you through beautiful terrace farmlands of rice and millets. Likewise, you have to come across through mighty deep gorge-Budhi Gandaki and many scary suspension bridges. In addition to that, walking through sub-tropical forests at the begging of the trek makes even more pleasant. During the trek you will visit many beautiful villages as well. Adventurous trek to Manaslu begins with exciting drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola. Sotikhola is the main starting point of your trek. Then from Sotikhola you have to trek almost 5-6 hours of walk to reach up to Larke La pass. During the trek up to Larke La, mind blowing views of mountains, beautiful villages, natural beauties and other exclusive attractions can be experienced. From Larke La pass you will trek to Chamje via Tilje. Then after you will return back to Kathmandu after completing you trek up to Besisahar. Best time to Trek in Mansalu:

The best time frame to trek to Manaslu is months of March-May and September-November. Autumn Season is probably the best time. Sky is clear and the crystal clear views of mountains can be experienced. Winter season is not best time it is because snowfall around Larkey La pass may block the trail so it will be difficult.

Day 09: Acclimatization day at Samagaon (3530m)

 

Day 10: Trek to Samdo (3875m, 4hrs walk)

 

Day 11: Trek to Dharmasala (4460m, 6hrs walk)

 

Day 12: Trek to Bimthang (3590m) via Larke pass (5100m, 9hrs walk)

 

Day 13: Trek to Dharapani

 

Day 14: Dharapani to Beshisahar by Jeep and return back to Kathmandu by local bus/Jeep.

 

Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu

After your arrival in Trubhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, one of our representatives from Adventure Leader Nepal will be there to pick you up and he will drop you to your Hotel.

 

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and Trekking Preparation in the evening

This day is for trekking preparation along with sightseeing around Kathmandu valley if you want. Kathmandu valley is must visit destination of Nepal. You can visit to UNESCO world heritage sites like Kathmandu Dubar Square, Swoaymabunath, Pashupatinath etc. during the day time. But in the evening you have to be prepared for next trekking days. Required permit cards and information will be given to you.

 

Day 03: Drive to Sotikhola via Arughat (public buses/private Jeep)

Real advenrure begins when you drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola via Arughat. You will ride through Kathmandu-Pokhara highway enjoying the views of green hills, small towns and fast flowing Trishuli River. Upon reaching Arughat you will stay overnight in Hotels/lodges. It takes about 7-8 hours to reach Sotikhola from Kathmandu. Depending upon the choices of the guest, we can manage private Jeep but if you want to have a local bus experience then Local bus is also available. Overnight stay at Sotikhola in Tea house. 

 

Day 04: Trek to Machhe Khola (930m, 7hrs walk)

Taking breakfast early in the morning you will walk from Arughat to Maccha Kohola. Trail passes through beautiful forests, rice farmlands, rivers, and beautiful waterfalls. The trail is a bit mess up as it continues through some rocky trails clinging to the side of the cliff. Similarly, you will pass through the beautiful Gurung village of Labubesi. As the trail continues and lead you up to Maccha Khola. Overnight stay at Tea houses in Maccha Khola.

 

 

Day 05: Trek to Jagat (1410m, 6 hrs walk)

After having breakfast early in the morning in Machha Khola you will head towards Jagat. Tha trail continues through gorge. First part of the trail is a bit narrow then after you have to climb up and down to reach Tatopani-small hot spring. Then after you will follow the trail of suspension bridge of Budhi Gandaki. Again trail leads you ascending over a ridge to Dobhan. Upon crossing the west bank of Budhi Gandaki trail will lead you towards beautiful Jagat Village. Overnight stay in Tea house at Jagat.

 

Day 06: Trek to Deng (1800m, 7hrs walk)

After having breakfast in Jagat, trail leads you through dense sub-tropical forests, small rivers and rural villages. Trek from Jagat goes through rocky ridges to Salleri then after you have to climb down to Sirdibas. You will also have to cross the long suspension bridge in Philim. Then after trek continues via steep gorges and grassy slopes. Crossing Budhi Gandaki River, you have to walk through the valley and some across through bamboo forests to reach Deng Khola. After crossing Deng Khola you will reach your final destination of the day. Overnight stay at Deng in Tea house.

 

Day 07: Trek to Namrung (2630m, 6hrs walk)

From Deng you will head towards Namrung Village. Trail from Deng takes you crossing the Budhi Gandaki River to the trail of Bhi. Then after you have to pass through beautiful lush forests, alpine vegetation and picturesque villages. Similarly, amazing views of Sirngi Himal can be witnessed during the trek. You have to cross the BUdhi Gandaki River most of the time on the way. Trail continues through narrow gorge and forest until you reach up to Namrung. You will also get opportunity to explore Manaslu Conservation area. Overnigh stay at Namrung in Tea house.

 

Day 08: Trek to Samagaon (3530m 4 hrs walk)

After having breakfast in Namrung village your next destination for today is Samagaon. You will leave beautiful village of Lho ascending towards Shyala. Shyala is another beautiful settlement where people mostly engage in constructing wooden houses. Outstanding views of HImal chuli, Peak 29 and large glacier can be seen from Syala village. Marching ahead trail continues through Punggen glacier and lead you up to beautiful Samagaon village. This village is nicely allied with beautiful courtyard and fields. During the season of Manaslu Trek this village becomes so busy. Overnight stay at Samagaon in Tea houses.

 

Day 09: Acclimatization day at Samagaon (3530m)

This day is set for acclimatization at Samagaon. You can have rest and relaxation day whole day long. But if you want to go for short hike around Samagaon then you can get opportunity to experience Sherpa culture. You can walk up to Sama village where you will find beautiful gompas and amazing views of glacier. Overnight stay at Samagaon.

 

Day 10: Trek to Samdo (3875m, 4hrs walk)

Early in the morning after having breakfast you will leave samagaon to Samdo. Climbing down from Samagaon to Budhi Gandaki River you will follow the trail to bridge over a side stream. Then after trail continues towards Khemo kharka. Up to Khemo Kharka you will find many mani walls on the way and mazing views of mountains as well. Again you have to cross the wooden bridge then after trail will lead you climbing steel trail up to the village of Samdo. Overnight at Samdo in Tea House.

 

Day 11: Trek to Dharmasala (4460m, 6hrs walk)

After having breakfast in Samdo, you will walk towards Darmasala passing Tibetan market called Larke Bazaar. Then again you have to climb down to Budhi Gandaki River and then crossing it you have to walk upward. Larkya Glacier can be seen during the trek. Passing through many traditional monasteries you will climb up to Dharmasala. Dharamasala is also known as Larke Phedi. Overnight stay at Dharmasal in Tea house.

 

Day 12: Trek to Bimthang (3590) via Larke pass (5100m, 9hrs walk)

Today is a bit tough day because you have to pass through challenging Larke La pass to reach Bimthang. Trail from Dharmasala begins with ascending over a small ridge along stone paved path. The main highlight of this day is you will come across through Larke La pass to continue trek towards Bimthang. During the trek you will explore glacier lakes, beautiful villages and valleys. Similarly, amazing views of Larkey Peak, Himlung Himal, and Annapurna II etc. can be experienced during the walk. Overnight stay at Bimthang in hotels/tea houses.

 

Day 13: Trek to Dharapani (1943m, 2-3hrs walk)

Today you will trek through bamboo forests following the trail of Dudh Khola. As the trek continues you will see the ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project). You will be walking on the trail of Annapurna circuit trek today. From Dharapani you can go by local bus/jeep up to Besi sahar if you want. Overnight stay at Dharapani

 

Day 14: Dharapani to Beshisahar by Jeep and return back to Kathmandu by local bus/Jeep or Pokhara in option

Today is the last day of your adventurous trek to Manasalu circuit. From Dharapani you will drive up to Besi Sahar by sharing local buses/Jeep. Then again from Besi Sahar you will retrun back to Kathmandu. But if you want to visit Pokhara from Besisahar then you can add one more day in your trip to explore Pokhara. It depends upon the choice of the trekkers.
