Chepang Hill Trek


The moderate climate in summer, chill climate in winter, and the unique culture and tradition of Chepang are the major attractions of the Chepang Hill Trek.

Chepang Hil lies at the altitude of 4000-6500 feet above sea level which is located between Mugling and Krishna Bhir at Dhading district. It is 80 km away from Kathmandu Valley. The moderate climate in summer and chill climate in winter, this region has been one of the ideal regions for trek according to season-wise. The Chepang village and their unique culture and tradition is the major attraction of this trek. This trekking was established in order to uplift the Chepang lifestyle.

Chitwan Chepang Hill Trekking however slowly and gradually helping in uplifting the economic development of the nation. The unique culture and tradition of local people have attracted the trekkers mostly tourist which helps to gain the popularity of the village and foreign exchange as well. Any trekkers who taste this trek can experience the stunning landscape and natural beauty along with different wild lives and species of birds. What makes this trek more exciting is the breathtaking view of the Himalayan Ranges including the most beautiful Ganesh Himal, Annapurna, and Dhaulagiri.

Day 01: Arrive at the Kathmandu airport & transfer hotel.

Day 02: Drive to Hungdi and trek to Hattibang 4 hour

Day 03: Hattibang to Jyandala (1610m) 5 to 6 hours

Day 04: Jyandala to Upperdhangadi 5 to 6 hours

Day 05: Upperdhangadi to Saktikhor (355m) 5 to 6 hours

Day 06: Saktikhor to Kathmandu 6 to 7 hours

Day 07: Rest day

Day 08: Departure transfer

Option

Day 06: Drive to Chitwan from Shaktikhor 2-3 hours

Day 07: Explore Chitwan

Day 08: Drive back to Kathmandu

Day 09: Rest day

Day 10: Departure transfer

 

Day 01: Arrive at the Kathmandu airport & transfer hotel.

A representative of our company will be there to welcome and transfer you to the hotel. You can visit our office and local market in this day.

Day 02: Drive to Hungdi and trek to Hattibang 4 hour

After our breakfast in the morning we will start our drive to Hundi, 80 km west from Kathmandu. After 2 hours of drive we will reach the village Hungdi. From here we will trek to Hattibang for 4-5 hours. This place offers the scenic views of hills and even Annapurna range. We can enjoy the evening with the local people. Overnight at homestay.

Day 03: Hattibang to Jyandala (1610m) 5 to 6 hours

After a 5-6 hours of trek we will reach the village Jyandala which is famous for the sunshine and sunset views. We can observethe high mountains to the low flat lands less than 100 meters from the sea levels. Overnight at homestay.

Day 04: Jyandala to Upper Dhangadi 5 to 6 hours

During today’s trek we will cross the dense forest a home for different rare wild animals and more than 300 spices of birds. Sounds and sudden encounter with birds and animals makes the trek interesting. After 5-6 hours of trek we will reach to Upper Dhangadi. Overnight art homestay.

Day 05: Upper Dhangadi to Saktikhor (355m) 5 to 6 hours

As this is the last day of our trek we will walk down to the Shaktikhor. It takes 5 to 6 hours of walk from Upper Dhangadi. We can visit Chepang Museum, caves and waterfall after we reach there. We can enjoy Chepang cultural program in the evening.

Day 06: Saktikhor to Kathmandu 6 to 7 hours

From here you can extend your trip to Chitwan or drive back to Kathmandu. After 6-7 hours of drive we will be in Kathmandu and rest in the hotel.

Day 07: Rest day

In this day, either we can stay hotel and rest or sightseeing the Kathmandu valley the city of temples. You can visit the World heritage sites and other places

Day 09: Departure transfer

Our representative will drop you to the airport to return your homeland.

 

Option:

Day 06: Drive to Chitwan from Shaktikhor 2-3 hours

After 2-3 hours of drive we will be in Chitwan where we have our lunch and visit to nearby Tharu villages. In the evening you can enjoy participating Tharu cultural dance.

Day 07: Explore Chitwan

After breakfast we will canoe ride along the Rapti River, Bird watching, jungle walk and enjoy elephant bathing. After lunch we can enjoy the Elephant safari and opportunity to see four different types of deer, one horned rhinos, Royal Bengal Tiger and many more.

Day 08: Drive back to Kathmandu

Day 09: Rest day

Day 10: Departure transfer
