The Annapurna Base Camp Trek, located at the north central part of Nepal, is one of the famous trekking destinations of Nepal. This trek offers outstanding views of series of Himalayan peaks, includes the 10th highest mountain in the world called Annapurna 1st (8091m). The other series of peaks includes Annapurna south (7273m), the Glacier Dome, Gangapurna (7454m), Machhapuchre (6997m) and Unclimbed Fang (7647m). This exciting trek offers natural diversity, an incredible view of mountain peaks, terraced farmlands, rhododendron forests, hot spring, deep narrow Modi Khola Gorge, bamboo forests, white waterfall and Annapurna Glacier. Trek to Annapurna Base Camp begins with exciting trip from Kathmandu to Pokhara. There are two options to Travel to Pokhara from Kathmandu, either by local bus/private Jeep or plane. Via plane it takes around 30 minutes to reach Pokhara whereas by bus or Jeep it takes about 6-7 hours. Upon reaching Pokhara you will drive to Nayapul which is starting point of this trek. Then after you will pass through Ulleri, Tadapani, Sinuwa, and continues to Annapurna Base Camp via Macchapuchre Base Camp. During the trek you will find pure natural vegetation on the way along with varieties of wild life. Another major highlighting point of this trek is Annapurna Conservation Area Project. Numerous varieties of flora and fauna are conserved in this region. Special permit card is provided to you to enter in this conservation area. So, explore white snowcapped peaks along with natural vegetation and Himalayan wildlife in this trek.

Day 12: Drive back to Kathmandu and overnight at hotel

Day 13: Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport

Detail Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu, Trek Preparation in evening.

After your arrival in Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, one of our representatives of Adventure Leaders Nepal will be there to pick you up. After then he will drop you to the Hotel. You will visit our office in the evening for the preparation and discussion about the trek.

 

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara, by Bus/Car/Plane (827m)

 

After having breakfast in the morning you will head towards Pokhara from Kathmandu. You can reach your destination either by plane or local bus/Jeep. If you go by plane you may get chance to explore Pokhara whole day long. Driving through Kathmandu-Pokhara highway is also worthy one. You can explore beautiful green hills, rivers and villages during the drive. Overnight stay at Pokhara in Hotels.

 

Day 03: Pokhara to Nayapul Drive & Trek to Ulleri (1960m, 5-6hrs walk)

 

Nayapul is the starting point of this trek. First you will drive up to Nayapul from Pokhara then after from Nayapul you will trek to Ulleri. During the trek you will find many tea houses and hotels on the way. Similarly, you will pass through beautiful local villages and hills. Mt. Annapurna South and Hiuchuli (6441m) will give you the company during the trail. Overnight stay at Ulleri in Tea houses.

 

 

Day 04: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2860m, 4-5hrs walk)

 

After having breakfast in the morning in Ulleri you will move towards Ghorepani. Trail goes through the Jungle with most pleasant walk. Many wild flora and fauna can be experienced suring the trek. Similarly, during the spring season this trail is even more beautifully decorated with blooming rhododendron. Overnight stay at Ghorepani in Tea houses.

 

Day 05: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2630m 5-6rs, walk)

 

After having breakfast in Ghorepani you will trek towards Tadapani today. This part of trek is easiest one. Beautiful views of mountain peaks will be experienced during the trek. Similarly, this route is also walking trails of Poonhill Trek, Annapurna circuit Trek and Khopra Danda Trek. On the way you will encounter some waterfalls. Similarly, dense forests on the trail will offer you flora and fauna. Overnight stay at Tadapani in Tea houses.

 

Day 06: Tadapani to Sinuwa (2360m, 6hrs walk)

 

From Tadapani you will walk through Kyumrung Khola and continue via Talung to Chomring and finally Sinuwa. The first part of this trek is descending downhill. As the trail continues you can witness the local farmlands. During the trek through Jungle you may get opportunity to witness wild animals as well. Overnight stay at Sinuwa in Tea houses.

 

 

Day 07: Sinuwa to Deurali (3230m, 6hrs walk)

After having breakfast in Sinuwa you will walk towards Deurali via Bamboo and Dovan. The trek is mostly ascending uphill and through the forests. The walk is more pleasing while walking through the forests. Overnight stay at Deurali in Tea houses.

 

 

Day 08: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m, 6hrs walk) via Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m)

 

Today is the most exciting and important part of your trek. You will trek to two base camps today. The first part of trek is ascending towards the Macchapuchre Base Camp, from where staggering views of peaks like Annapurna South, Macchapuchre, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna etc. can be witnessed. After spending some time in Macchapuchre Base Camp, trek continues towards ABC. Upon reaching ABC you will surrounded by meany peaks. You can take as many pictures as you like.

 

 

Day 09:  Trek back to Bamboo (2310m, 6rs walk)

 

After enjoying the precious moments in Annapurna Base Camp, you will trek down to Bamboo today. Early in the morning beautiful views of Annapurna I, Tent Peak, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli etc. can be seen. Today you will descend down all the way to Bamboo via Macchapuchre Base Camp, Deurali to Dovan and all the way to Bamboo. Overnight stay at Bamboo in Tea houses.  

 

Day 10: Trek back to Jhinu Danda-Hot Spring (1700m, 5hrs walk)

 

From Bamboo, you will trek down to Jhinu Danda where natural hot spring is waiting for you. The trail is a bit up and down hill. But once you reach upon Jhinu all your body will be freshened up by the hot spring. You have to come across via sinuwa and chommrong to reach all the way to Jhinu Danda. Overnight stay at Jhinu Danda.

 

 

Day 11:  Trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara

 

You will trek down to Nayapul today and then after drive back to Pokhara via sharing Jeep. It takes around 3-4 hours to reach Nayapul then after by driving through vehicles you will reach Pokhara to stay overnight in Hotel.

 

 

Day 12: Drive back to Kathmandu and overnight at hotel

Today you will return back to Kathmandu. If you want to return quickly to Kathmandu then you may take flight otherwise you can enjoy riding about 6-7 hours in Kathmandu-Pokhara highway. Overnight stay at Kathmandu in Hotel.

 

Day 13: Departure to Tribhuvan International Airport

Today is the last day of your trip to Nepal. You will be dropped off to the Kathmandu airport for your final departure.
